Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (3 Days)
& First Aid at Work Refresher (2 Days)
The objective of this Level 3 First Aid at Work qualification is to support learners in becoming First Aiders in the workplace. The content of the qualification meets the HSE requirements for training First Aiders in those organisations that have identified that they require trained First Aiders in their workplace due to the outcomes of their Risk Assessments.
COURSE CONTENT
- First Aid priorities and managing incidents.
- Basic life support (CPR) and the safe use of an AED.
- Examination of a casualty.
- Unconsciousness.
- Control of bleeding and wounds.
- Fractures and dislocations.
- Burns and scalds.
- Medical emergencies.
- Heart attacks and cardiac arrest.
- Eye injuries.
- Dressings and bandaging.
- Recording and reporting.
- First Aid Provision.
ASSESSMENT & CERTIFICATION
This three day course includes course materials, expert tutoring, and practical exercises to give learners in-depth training.
There is a multiple-choice exam at the end of the course, along with continuous evaluation throughout by the trainer. Each learner will be independently assessed by an HSENI approved assessor.
3 Days/2 Days Recertification
Cosaint Training / On-Site
Each participant will receive a certificate upon successful completion of both theory and practical assessment. Certificates must to be renewed WITHIN 3 years of issue date.
