Mobile Elevated Work Platforms

This course is for anyone who may be required to operate various types of mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs). It is designed to train operators in the safety aspects relating to MEWPs and give them the skills required to work safely and efficiently at height
COURSE CONTENT
This course covers, but is not limited to, the following subject areas;
- Introduction to the machine and its controls
- Machine stability
- Setting up the working area
- Working with site conditions
- Environmental awareness
- Safe use of hydraulic systems
- Emergency lowering
- Harness usage
- Weight assessment
- Pre-use inspection
- Preparing and securing the machine for transport
ASSESSMENT
Candidate assessments include a theory test, Pre-Use Inspection Test and Practical Test of Operating Skills Individual certification is issued upon completion of the course
