Mobile & Static Tower Training
[ HALF DAY ]
This half day scaffolding course is for anyone whose work involves responsibility for assembling, dismantling, altering, moving and inspecting mobile access towers. It will develop candidates understanding of how to safely carry out these operations without risk of injury to oneself and others.
It is a highly interactive course involving case studies, classroom discussion, group work and individual/group presentations.
COURSE CONTENT
- Legal duties
- Codes of Practice, guidance and information relating to lightweight access towers
- British and European standards
- Inspection and maintenance of tower components
- Function of components and limitations
- Practical assembly and dismantling exercise
- Stability and tying-in procedures
- Identification of hazards relating to tower scaffolds
ASSESSMENT
Assessment is through individual and group exercises and an end-of-course multiple-choice test.
FURTHER INFORMATION
Mobile Access Towers training is available on-site on your premises. A suitable room would be required for on-site training for the theory section of the course, and mobile access towers are needed for the practical. The manufacturer’s instruction manual must be available for the training.

This course is CITB approved for grant aid to levy payers and each trainee will receive a certificate of attendance on completion.
